“I have the HBS-850 headset. People I talk to complain that I sound muffled and volume is very low. I can hear them fine. Any ideas, do I have a defective set?”

• No... I have the same issue but I noticed when I let the mic hang more over my shoulder people tend to hear me better...not a technical answer but it's what I got

• Best advise is to return them cause they are garbage and they don't work correctly. I had 4 pairs of these before I gave up.

• I have one also and to be herd I have to put the left side of the headset under my chin. The mike hole is on the left side on top.

• I had the same problem, I later found out that I was wearing the headset under my collar. Make sure you are not wearing it bottom side up. If none of these are the proble then you may have a defective headset.

• It is a chance that you have a defective product. You can test it when you are at any super market like walmart or Kroger or any mall to test the noise canceling function and sound quality in busy crowded area. It you had still the issue then you definitely need a different model and return the one you have. Wish you a luck.
