Compatibility on iPhone 5S Is this the life proof case compatibile with the fingerprint scanner on the iPhone 5S? The hole for the flash in the back of the case is also different between the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S. Is this the correct case and the pictures shown are incorrect or is this not the exclusive Lifeproof iPhone 5S case?

Yes the case is compatible with the finger print scanner. I did find that I had to position my finger more precisely once the case was on. I still estimate a 25% reduction in the finger print scanner functionality with the case on. The flash is perfectly contained in the round hole of the case, and it works perfectly on my 5s.

Yes, I have a 5s and the scanner works as well as it did before I installed the case. No real problems encountered. I set up the scanner function before installation of the case and I would recommend doing it first.

Yes the case is iphone 5s compatible it also has a special layer of plastic so you still use your touch Id and the case should say touch Id compatible when you are buying the case.

I was just at Best Buy today and asked 2 associates your exact questions. They both said “Buy the Lifeproof fre or Lifeproof nuud for the 5s specifically!" If it does not say 5s, it will not fit because of the flash opening especially. It will say 5 or 5s on the front of the box. Buy accordingly. Best Buy had no Lifeproof or Otterbox 5s cases in stock. Some people on line will tell you either fits the 5s…they don't.
