Will it work without the screen protector? I have this case for my iphone 5. The screen protector doesn't fit to the screen and causes "bubbles" making it hard to push buttons. Can I remove the screen and the case still protect against drops and water?

Bubbles may be caused by minute dust particles... Wipe the phone extremely clean as well as inside of case... Removing the screen will keep the case from being waterproof

It will protect against drops, but part of the water protection is the seal you get with the included screen protector. So your phone won't be submersible with the screen protector off.

Hey there,

Mine bubbles as well, I have the 5s and it really doesn't cause that many issues as far as being able to comfortably use the phone.

If you're talking about the actual screen that is attached to the lifeproof product, do not cut that out. If you do, then you just wasted money.

The case still protects your phone which is its purpose. On my end, I'll take the bubbles under the screen, better than having it drop and the screen shattering just because I don't like bubbles.

NO, but they do make a screen less case also it's called the NUUD and it protects just as well.

No! It will not keep water out with the screen protector. The life proof case is designed to be air tight. Read and follow the installation directions and you should be ok.

I believe both the warranty and waterproof capabilities will be compromised by removall of the screen cover! Would not recommend taken that action.

Removing the screen protector defeats the purpose of buying this type of case. It is meant to keep dust and moisture away from your phone. Removing the screen protector will let dust and moisture in around the phone..

Yes you can remove the screen protector on your phone and the "fre Case" will cover your screen. It has a built in screen protector.

Sadly no. their is a completely different case by lifeproo the Nuud one. It has no screen protector to get rid of the bubble issue.
The reason you can't just cut your screen protector out or off on the fre edition is because of where the water tight linings are located. it is in the edge of the fre edition case where the nuud has it around the screen. I have recommend the product below. I hope this helps!
