• Yes the case is waterproof. Before putting it on your phone you need to test it to ensure it is waterproof. It worked great for me. At the Gulf of Mexico & kayaking!

• Yes, you have to submerge JUST THE CASE in water for 30" when u first get it to test the seals. After that it's good to Go!
