• You need a separate screen protector. I always get the ZAGG glass protector, and pay for Best Buy to put it on - free replacement for as long as you have the phone. I'm the clumsy sort - I dropped my XR often, and had 2 or 3 replacement screens free of charge.

• According to the Lifeproof website, it does not have a built-in screen protector. It states it's a "screenless" protector to allow direct contact with the phone's screen.
