Hello Drakmartin76! Webcams such as the C920e 1080 Webcam are usually made for a single subject that's about 2-3 feet away from the camera (i.e. you sitting at your desk in front of your computer). You'll be able to see things or people in the distance in a small classroom environment yes, but probably not small writings on a white board in example. The webcam has to be close enough for details to be precise. - Mathieu from Logitech
