Probably just got the connection dirty. Try scrubbing it with rubbing alcohol on the magnetic connection. Use a cotton tip

What I would suggest you to try first, is do a restart of your iPad, so press and hold either volume button and the top button until the power off slider appears. Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. To turn your device back on, press and hold the top button until you see the Apple logo. Once that's done, see if that solved the issue with the trackpad. You can also detach the keyboard from the casing and double check the Smart Connector on the keyboard/iPad to make sure there is no dirt or anything on the contacts. Lastly, download the Logitech Control App on the App Store, install, and try updating the firmware of your Combo Touch. If none of the above work, know that you have a 1-year warranty with Logitech directly, so you can go on the product page and file a warranty claim if you're still under warranty: https://www.logitech.com/en-us/products/ipad-keyboards/combo-touch.html - Mathieu from Logitech
