No it will NOT work. The iPad needs a smart connector which is found only on the iPad PRO model. Though it might fit, an iPad 2018 (6th gen) does NOT have this required connector.

Yes the 6th gen has a 9.7 " screen ,same as the 5th gen apple pencil also is compatible with 6th gen

If your iPad has a lightning port, then YES!
