Most mice come with the receiver inserted into a slot on the bottom or inside the mouse so you don’t lose the.  The usb receiver shouod be there.

Hello jme, the Design collection wireless mouse can only be used with a USB receiver. The USB receiver that came with your mouse will be located inside the battery compartment underneath the mouse. Open the battery compartment, next to the batteries, the USB receiver will be inserted. Pull it out and plug it in to your computer. Windows 10 will automatically download the drivers and will be ready to use in no time. We apologize for the confusion. Have a great day.
