Hello, Thank you for considering the Logitech G403 HERO Wired Optical Gaming mouse. The G403 HERO mouse does not operate with a battery, the USB connection will provide power the G403 HERO mouse. If you are looking for a comparable option that is wireless, the G703 HERO featured a rechargeable battery as well as compatibility with Logitech's PowerPlay wireless charging system.
