Call Logitech Support at 646-454-3200; they are very helpful. They replaced my wireless receiver/dongle for free. I don't know if I'd tell them that you purchased it used at ebay though. :)

If you bought the same headset model that you had (the G935 Wireless 7.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset for PC), then yes, you can pair your new headset with your previous receiver this way: Insert a pin into the hole on the dongle to put it into pairing mode then hold the microphone mute button on the headset for 15 seconds. That should do the pairing for you.
