Yes. Fn+ F5 for less, and Fn+ F6 for more. However, it senses your hand after turns off long before you ever touch a key again. Consider it a motion detector. It knows when your close. If your hand remains on the palm rest it never turns off.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you always want to keep your K800 keyboard plugged in, you can flip its on-of switch to off. This switch is a very small switch at the top of the keyboard about two inches from the right hand end of the board. If you use this switch, you med to check it the next time you sit down to type. Otherwise, if it is off and you start typing, nothing will happen. Also, the keyboard itself has a tiny light sensor which it uses to turn the illumination on and of automatically. So, in the middle of the night you may see you keyboard all lit up. Also, it has an activity sensor which will shut off the illumination when there has been no activity for a while. IHTH
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it has 2 options. turn on by hand movement or when starting to type/ when starting to type option can stay on up to 10 minutes. Plugging it in does not matter. would make sense to have an option to stay on when plugged in but it don't
