• Yes. It's not a communication wired device if that's what you're asking. It uses an extension cable from the USB port to bring the dongle into optimal range for communication. I really haven't tested it from any great distance but I don't think it has enough signal to communicate by wireless across a room for instance. It's somewhat limited to about the same distance as a wireless mouse.
