Hi, You can manually adjust the backlighting by pressing the FN + F5 to decrease and FN + F6 to increase between 5 levels: 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. So, yes, you can turn the backlighting off and on. A reminder, after three hours of inactivity or if the keyboard is restarted, the backlighting level will return to automatic adjustment. Hope that this answered your question and that all is going well. - Richard from Logitech.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has Hand Presence Recognition which lights up when you hand nears the keyboard and turns off when you pull back. Note that the F5 button INCREASES and the F6 button DECREASES the basic light intensity.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I found out on mine that holding the FN button down while repeatedly pressing the F5 button will dim and turn off the back lighting as well as pressing the F6 button will increase the brightness. Thanks
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can raise or lower the brightness by holding down the function (FN) key then use the F5 or F6 keys.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, That said, it has a nice near proximity sensor that turns the lighting on and off. If you move from proximity for awhile it turns itself off and will relight when you reach for the keys. It's a long enough reaction time to not to be a nuisance.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
