How do you remove the battery? I opened the lid and the battery doesn't give when I push it in ... I'm afraid if I put too much pressure I might break the whole thing.

Make sure the positive (+) end of the battery is orientated towards the rear of the mouse. It should pop right down after inserting the battery's negative (-) end into its slot.

On mine the battery lifts up very easily with a fingernail. Don't push in, just lift up on the top of the battery (closest to the back end of the mouse) with a small pointy object if your fingertip doesn't do it.

I remove the bottom access panel and my battery is easily removed as the spring does not seem to have the tension your are noting. If anything else you should be able to just pull up the battery from the positive end without having to push battery against the spring.

You should be able to push it toward the spring end of the battery holder and pull up. I have never had a problem doing this.

its alright... just push in a bit further to depress the spring and the battery just comes right out... shouldnt have any issues with it breaking the device and im rough with mine.

Just lift the battery up, it's not spring loaded..

Mine (red) slides open on the bottom. The battery comes out & goes back in with ease.

After you open the case, it is just a matter of gently pushing back and lifting the battery out. IF BY CHANCE you left the battery in until it corroded, you may not be able to save the mouse.

The battery cover is located on the bottom of the mouse. You simply slide the cover off the end of the mouse. You do not need to lift any thing, it will slide backwards and come completely off the mouse to expose the battery.
