• It's always best to turn it off when not in use, however, not doing so doesn't seem to make the battery life that much shorter. Personally, I use rechargeable batteries in mine. I highly recommend doing so. I only have to charge them about once a month and I am horrible about remembering to turn it off (in fact, I never do, even though I know I should LOL!)
