- Answer You most likely need a whole new mouse, they are fairly cheap I recommend the logitech M325. It was on sale for $9.99 when I purchased it. I have had no problems at all. Wireless Mouse no drivers.

- Answer No auto shutoff, but a AA battery will last a long time. I only turn it off when I'm disconnecting it from the laptop and putting it in my laptop case...I can't stand laptop touch-pads
