I believe it should. It should say that it is installing drivers after you plug in the small USB wireless connector. do keep in mind that there is an On and Off switch on the bottom of the mouse itself. If it doesnt say "installing drivers" (or something to that nature), then you may have to take a look at your devices from the control panel.

Yes, go to the Logitech website and download the proper drivers. That should fix the problem, and if not, they have a great tech support staff.

It should work with XP. Are you using front panel USB or back panel? I have run into some desktops where wireless mice don't work well on back panel USB, especially in SAFE Mode.
