No i use the wireless set up. Little piece plugs into usb and then works wirelessly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A tiny plug-in module is included. You plug that into your computer at a USB port. The trackball is connected to your computer through this plug-in. It is not literally wired, however. Being wireless made me want it more and now liking it more. If you have two or more close by, the trackball only communicates to the computer it is associated with the plug-in.

Logitech used to make a similar model that was wired USB, it was the Logitech Trackman Marble, it was available in both grey and beige, but has been discontinued. Logitech still makes what is called Trackman Marble but it looks completely different than the M570 and the "old" Trackman. Google Trackman Marble, photos of both the old and new Trackman are online. There are a few of the old wired USB Trackmans for sale online, but most are in "used" condition. If you are lucky, you might find one still in the box.
