You can turn it on and off. The batteries would last very long, for a couple of years the least
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Both the keyboard and the mouse have on/off switches. Logitech claims the batteries in the keyboard will last 2 years. I imagine that's only if you turn the keyboard off whenever it's not in use. I turn mine off overnight but leave it on during the day. I'm hoping they will last a year, but only time will tell.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've only had it for about 1 month so not sure how long the batteries will last. There is no automatic turn off, it must be manually turned off when not in use along with the mouse.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have two, will buy a third, one for each office I work out of. I’ve had the first set almost three years. I’ve changed the battery in the mouse twice but have not changed the batteries in the keyboard yet. I try to always turn them off when I am done for the day. I don’t know if they have an auto shut off when not in use for a certain amount of time.
