how does the keyboard connect for use...the mouse works great wireless, but can't get the keyboard to work..am I missing a something null

Both the nose and keyboard connect through the single USB plug provided. 

Both mouse and keyboard have ON/OFF switches, and both use batteries. 

Check to make sure the keyboard is also turned ON, all batteries are installed, and any shipping tabs removed. If available, test with fresh batteries. 

If none of that helps, it may require a call to Logitech or Best Buy.

It should work as the mouse is working perfectly. Have you checked batteries of the keyboard? If batteries are good then keyboard may be a defective piece.

When you connect the provided usb, the mouse and keyboard should automatically load and work. If not, maybe the batteries are dead in the keyboard
