I'm behind -- what do you need to use a wireless keyboard and mouse? I don't have WiFi at my house. I work through a cable modem. I just bought a new Lenova tower, will this work with that? Can I connect with wires? null

Wi-Fi is not needed ! This works with your computer not your modem and has it's own wireless transmitter....I use mine up to 15+ feet away, while laying in bed !

You can't connect it with wires. You need a USB port to plug in the USB dongle to make this work. Once plugged in, Windows should detect it and install the need drivers and you sold be up and running (I installed on a windows 7 computer).

It comes with a USB dongle that you plug into the USB port on your tower that will connect to the keyboard in mouse in a wireless fashion.

The mouse and keyboard come with a single USB drive that you can plug into the tower. The driver automatically downloads the first time you plug in the USB. As long as the mouse and keyboard are switched to "On", they will work with the computer.

This set doesn't need wires or Wi-Fi. It connects via your USB ports. Just plug in mini. Reciever, switch mouse and keyboard to on and you're good.

It doesn't go through wi-fi. It comes with a little wireless receiver that plugs into a usb port. The usb receiver is very small.

If your computer has wireless capabilities, you should be fine. You plug a small USB connector into your computer, and both the keyboard and the mouse work off of it.

Yes. it will work with any windows computer or laptop. in the box with this combo, it gives you a bluetooth adapter.. plug that into your computer's USB port, it installs the drivers for your adapter, then just turn on your keyboard and mouse, they will pair with your computer and work without wires. No, you cannot connect this mouse/keyboard with wires.

A wireless mouse and keyboard does not use wifi. It uses Bluetooth. The keyboard and mouse comes with a usb receiver. It will work on your lenova if you are running windows. No you cannot connect with wires. Why would you want to add wires. The range for connection is about 30 feet depending on walls and other interference.
