“Are the Bluetooth connected keyboard and mouse responsive? I have tried two different Bluetooth mice with a Windows 10 laptop and both seem to go to sleep occasionally after being idle. Curious before buying this.”

If they did not go to sleep the battery life would be much much less. So, to increase battery life they will go to sleep after a timeout period. Your laptop also has a power option to turn off bluetooth after a time out. I am now in the habit of double right clicking the mouse when I grab it. That does two things. 1. Wakes the mouse, and 1. Wakes the laptop. The delay over just waking the computer is negligible.
