YES, this absolutely fits the 12.9" 5th generation M1 iPad. I know because I purchased the newer case with the trackpad and hated it. I am using my M1 12.9" 5th generation iPad in the case right now and it fits perfectly. The iPad is so minimally different in size that you can't tell the case wasn't designed for it. Works perfectly. Don't buy the new Logitech case that has the trackpad = it's not as good - get this one for the 5th gen iPad instead. Images prove the case fits.

Unfortunately, the Slim Folio Pro can't be used on the new 5th generation 12.9" iPad Pro as they have different dimensions. The Slim Folio Pro's dimensions are: Height: 9.06 in (230 mm), Width: 11.30 in (287 mm), and Depth: 0.88 in (22.46 mm). The case that I generally recommend for the 5th Generation 12.9" iPad Pro is the Combo Touch which has these dimensions: Height: 11.24 in (28.56 cm), Width: 8.89 in (22.57 cm), and Depth: 0.69 in (1.74 cm).
