“Is this webcam mic able to record live music without distortion? Also, does the software allow you to adjust volume on mic? I do video recordings playing guitar singing, etc. Was told by Logitech this system would work, but replies inconsistent”

I cannot answer this question. But if I was trying to record any music I would get a regular mic for that. I wouldn't rely on a video camera mic. I'm sure you would get better sound from a stand alone mic.

I would recommend purchasing a separate microphone like the Blue Yeti or Blue Yeti X, this way you won't get any distortion. You can adjust the volume on the microphone in the Logitech Capture software, as well. - Maggie from Logitech
