• It is basically just there. I think it is just a stylized tag. Nothing important. It is stuck in place. You would have to cut it off. It is made of almost a fake leather like material.

• Actually if you want you can attach your stylus there and tuck it in to the case. Works great for me.

• There is no red tag for the Logitech Big Bang case for iPad Air 2, however I believe Logitech makes another case with a red tag.
