They will work if your old RCA CD player has a 3.5 mm aux output.

Your CD player needs to be connected to a traditional stereo receiver or amplifier, then to regular speakers using bare-wire connections. This system like others are designed for computer and mobile device audio, connecting with a stereo mini-plug only.
