“Anyone know why the subwoofer makes a high pitched noise if I turn the speaker system off? As of now, I have to leave the speakers on because if I turn them off with the volume dial, the subwoofer emits a high pitched sound that does not stop.”

You should probably remove any cables near the subwoofer because I guess there is something sensitive inside that is affected by the electromagnetic field of the cables. For me this did the trick and the perpetrator was the psu cable.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't have that problem. Actually, if I leave the speaker on while turning off the computer, I can hear some little noise. Therefore, I always turn if off when I do not use.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The subwoofer probably does this if you have your phone close to the 3.5mm plug. The high pitch noise is the amplifier picking up another signal.
