• It does repel water but if you are say in a torrential down pour then I would say no.

• It isn't fully waterproof. A brief walk in the rain would be okay, but it will eventually soak through.

• Haven't used it in the rain but i would suggest spraying it with waterproof spray if taking it out in rain just to be in the safe side

• I don't think mine is waterproof, but I sprayed it with ScotchGard and no rain has soaked through, though I've only been caught in the rain twice. No water got through the zippers, which was my primary concern.
