• Yes it is. It can hold up to 3.5 lbs. Your T3 body is 1.0 lbs. most lenses are under 2.0 lbs. This should be more than adequate for filiming lectures. If you need more weight capacity opt for the MKCOMPACTADV-BK. A great value and fluid video head is the MK290LTA3-VUS.
