(similar cameras) I would go a step up to the 169$ range if you plan on being outside in the wind. This with the bottom leg section all the way extended was wobbly. Loved the pistol grip ball head. I am going to the Manfrotto MK190X3-BH Kit 190X aluminium 3-section tripod with 496RC2 ball head or one more below that. They have a tilt center colom to get low for macro and boom like operation for fast subjects (birds) as well, wt limit much higher if you want to add a gimble later on.
