Will it support a canon 7d with 400mm lens null

I would not mount anything over 13 lbs total. Depends on the 400 mm. If it is a DO then it will definitely be light enough

I wouldn't unless there isn't any wind. I have SL1 rebel (small body) and it is unstable with the telephoto lens when all extensions extended. I recommend the next model up, I took mine back
