Hi, thanks for your question. The Emberton II does not have selectable "clean" or "distorted" sound modes. It is designed to reproduce audio as it is received from the source device. You can adjust the EQ in the Marshall Bluetooth app, but there is no built-in distortion effect or clean/distorted mode.
