“Can you use this speaker with a record player/turntable? My son needs speakers or speaker that he can use with record player, he said it has to be a certain kind, something about there being a volume adjustment on them..... Like on computer speakers.”

He is referring to a powered speaker. This will not suit the needs. I reccomend the set by Klipsch theyre in the same price range

While the speakers can be connected via cable, it isn't always possible to connect via Bluetooth so we suggest making sure there is a trial or exchange period to be sure. And yes, a pre-amp will be required to use a Marshall Speaker with a Turntable.
