The Kilburn II should be able to be used if the batteries are for some reason not carrying a charge; the speaker will need to be plugged in to a power source but it should work just the same. • Not sure what you're meaning?? These units don't take "batteries" u can replace, they are rechargeable You just plug in the unit to charge it, much like ur cell phone....
