Q: QuestionIs this fridge basically the same as the Whirlpool GI6FARXXY06? They look the same and use the same water filters. I've had mine for 7 yrs and it stopped working w/in the 1st mo. They would not replace it but repaired it. It stopped working 3 more times.

• A:Answer A fridge repair guy told me he's had to repair many Whirlpools of certain models. This Maytag is not just like the Whirlpool, though Whirlpool makes it. Just got this a month ago, so can't speak to reliability. So far, we love it.
