• Yes, it should work with the MacBook Air. Per the product information it supports Mac OS X v10.7 - 10.9. The oldest Macbook Air (2009) can run 10.11, so it should be fine. It also requires a full sized USB port for the dongle, you would only have a problem if you had only one USB port and you're already using it for another dongle like the Ethernet adapter.
