• No not at all. Of course when you open them up to edit and use them it will save in the current version format.

• I can only speak from my own experience as I am not very tech savvy. I had an older version of windows 365 on my laptop through GoDaddy. I installed this program and files opened with no problem.

• It is backwards compatible and will work fine. You probably will want to remove the old version of office first because on a windows machine there may be some issues with file association. Easier to let the installation fix that rather than messing around with it later.
