QuestionI have OUTLOOK 2007 with thousands of emails. If I upgrade to Office 365 will I lose these? If not will I have access to them on all 5 installed machines?

- Answer I had Outlook 2010 and upgraded to Office 365, I didn't lose any emails. Everything migrated over. Not sure about multiple machines, I installed on two and all emails were there after the installation.

QuestionThe product description lists 5 PC/Mac devices AND 5 tablets. Does this mean I can install on my Mac and my iPad and it only counts as one user?

- Answer I believe it says "up to 6 users," so if you are using the same login information for your Mac and iPad then it should only count as one user.

- Answer Your files will become read only. You will be able to open them with another program and have full access. I have refused to pay them annually. I have switched to Pages and Numbers

QuestionI used the serial number on my laptop using my existing business outlook account. And I tried on the second PC, and it keep saying "already activated" and I tried to login with using my ID and password but not logging in. I am not admin for this account.

- Answer I believe it may be that if your employer has Office registered, that account would be identified as a commercial/business account and I expect that this "student and home" edition would not be available for that account.

- Answer I am not aware of that issue. It is always a great idea to disable anti virus programs when installing genuine software. It comes from a reliable source and is free of malware. After install, enable the virus protection and you should be good to go.

- Answer I have McAfee and have had no problems at all. McAfee is very known for computer security, I don't see how a Microsoft program couldn't work with that application..I would think its the same for Norton

- Answer To my knowledge, yes. I am not sure if they block authentication anywhere, but I was able to use this product in: Canada, UK, Granada, Spain, Mexico, and France.

- Answer I am trying to understand the question. The office software is based on a 1 year subcription. You of course can buy the software itself for full price but you will not get the updates and upgrades that you would with the one year subscription. In my mind you come out cheaper over time since you will not readily get upgrades continually over the years. I had the Mac software for 2011 for years and used it for years ... likely 7 or more until my laptop crashed. I was missing of course the new templates and features that came over the years. It is a sign of the time that Microsoft has moved to the subscription based software.
