• Yes, It isn't Office 365, but the most current version of Office. You won't get updates like 365 provides, but is more like Office was before 365.

• Yes. You can buy individual pieces of software (e.g. Word 2016, Excel 2016, etc.) But upgrades are not free. Call Microsoft to get pricing and online downloads.
