Ignore people saying it has bluetooth, all of Microsofts bluetooth devices are labeled bluetooth in the title, or are called "surface" (as in, bluetooth so it doesnt take up the only port on your surface device)

No, this is not Bluetooth. It requires the included small USB transmitter nub to be plugged into your computer in order to connect wirelessly.

Look at the only answer from MS support. NO it is not BT. It is RF, but NOT BT. It will not connect to built in BT. You will need to use the proprietary USB dongle. If you have a newer MAC with USB C only, you will also need an adapter.

its Bluetooth only via the usb dongle. if you donts have the usb, you can't connect directly through Bluetooth scan. you have to insert the usb into any device you wish to use.

Yes the Arc mouse is bluetooth. Works with surface pro without taking up the only USB port.
