The product description lists 5 PC/Mac devices AND 5 tablets. Does this mean I can install on my Mac and my iPad and it only counts as one user? null

I believe it says "up to 6 users," so if you are using the same login information for your Mac and iPad then it should only count as one user.

I am holding the packaging (paper licensing) in my hands for Office 365 Home and it clearly states "up to 6 people. So assume 1 for yourself and up to 5 others that you could extend an invite to. It states "Each person sharing this subscription can install Office on all their devices and be signed in to 5 at the same time."

Please note that I've only installed Office 365 Home on a new MacBook and have not had a chance to install on my mobile devices yet nor extend invites to my family members.

Whether or not you install Office 365 on a computer or on a tablet, each install counts. So one install on one computer, equals one installation. One install on one tablet, equals one installation.
