Why doesn’t Microsoft have a customer service line to assist people or walk them through an installation? It is so aggravating that I’m required to use chat and all I get are these computer responses that don’t address my problem null

I agree - I hate the "chat" option which is usually less than helpful. Person to person is still the best for most support issues, especially technical. The Geek Squad is very reliable and they are nearby.
