• Yes. You open it buy pressing the button at the front which is the lid. Under the lid, you have space for 2 AA batteries. You are welcome.

• The bottom of the mouse has a Slide door

• there is a button on top of it center near bottom.

• Please see photo Dash there’s a small button at the top rear of the mouse. The press that button and the plastic “hood” of the mouse will come off. You can see the two spots for the batteries must be changed.

• There's a *small* button on top of and towards the back of the mouse that you press to open the battery compartment. You can find it by laying the mouse so the spinner is on the left, then let you eyes move along the top past the printed "Microsoft" letters to the back end of the mouse. The button is just behind the edge of the battery compartment.
