No difference. Simple supply and demand (black sells out quicker).

Bought a Burgundy to save Five dollars, there is not a difference from the black pen a friend paid give dollars more for.

I asked a Best Buy Sales Associate when I purchased my Surface Pen and he said that there are no differences between the different colors. Apparently, the pricing is based on the color demand.

I have tried both black and burgundy, they are just identical besides the actual color of the pen.
