• O was confused on this as well but I do not think it is. I have the surface pro X and it works but I think there is another keyboard for the Pro 7

• I believe it is, however, the true issue may be that the first-generation pen stylus doesn't close as thinly and smoothly as it would with the newest style pen. That one fits one comfortably in the slit made for the pen between keyboard and screen.
