Using Media Creator on a flash drive will automatically detect the old Windows 7 or 8 key on your computer and install the same version. Exg., if you had W-7 Pro, W-10 Pro will install. I did it and it worked flawlessly. If you do not have an old authorized version of Windows on your computer, Media Creator will need a key and you can only use a key on one machine now. You can try it but if it doesn't work you may need to wipe the drive and buy the program.
