Typically this has to do with the computer's ability to handle interrupts from Bluetooth devices. The Bluetooth receiver ads a layer of complexity to the process of handling interrupts. My wireless keyboard has a similar problem. I just have to wait until the memory clears up and acknowledges the Bluetooth device for keyed inputs. My mouse does what yours does from time to time, but it is not as bad as the keyboard; why, because the interrupt for the mouse is in a different memory location than the one for the keyboard. However, both get overloaded when the computer has been ordered to do a complete memory scan and both freeze then.

Im surprised you're having this problem. could be manufacture defect? all my product experiences with all microsoft mouse products I've owned, or given as used gift, no probs. most recent blue color wireless microsoft mouse I had was being a problem. the new grey color mouse I have, very pleased, very fluid, productive product experience. I suggest if you want to buy again?, just get the microsoft wireless mouse, can be same color you got, or different color. try that.
