The Mint website will tell you if your phone is compatible. Web agent on website will check the phone ID

Mint doesn't want your imie and they offer a byop checker if it's gsm unlocked it's good too use. Gsm unlocked meaning not on contract too specific carrier like T-Mobile etc. If phone is cdma only no go .
