I am on the first month of the 3 month plan ($45) and my understanding is you have to renew with Mint Mobile directly to continue service with the same number. Hope this helps.

Yes. 3 month renewal is not $15/month. To keep your promotional $15/mth rate you must buy the 12 month Annual Plan. See the options in the App.
